As the warm, vibrant sun greeted me, I settled into my new island home, an 8-acre, lush coffee farm in the captivating Captain Cook region. During those initial five years, I immersed myself in the fragrant sights and sounds of nature as I worked diligently to transform two developed acres and six untamed acres into flourishing farmland. Armed with a trusty root jack, I delved into laborious, yet gratifying toil, gradually taming the wild terrain virtually all by hand.
Today, this thriving land boasts an exquisite variety of coffee, avocados, mangoes, ice cream beans, and other tropical fruits – a testament to my perseverance and love for the Earth. In Kailua Kona, I ventured back into my mainland career, the dynamic world of finance, serving as a proficient Wells Fargo Private Home Mortgage expert before seeking a refreshing change on the stunning shores of Oahu in 2008. In Oahu, my zeal for accuracy and precision led me to a fulfilling role as a document processor for National City Mortgage. And a short run due to the mortgage crash of 2008.
Taking a momentous leap back on the Big Island and into the vibrant rhythms of the tourism industry, I adeptly engaged with vacationers as an activity sales agent along the picturesque Ali’i Drive for Shell Vacations. Soon after, I found myself at the resort’s concierge/check-in desk, masterfully leading activity briefings and sharing a wealth of mesmerizing facts about the enchanting Hawaiian Islands.
As an ardent explorer, I embarked on a remarkable journey as a tour guide for the enchanting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. My two-year sojourn immersed me in a realm of fiery eruptions, vivid landscapes, and the rich cultural tapestry that forms the backbone of this island paradise. Armed with a thirst for knowledge, I delved deep into Hawaii’s flora and fauna, giving myself the chance to marvel at the lush rainforests draped in ethereal emerald hues. Driven by a continuous ambition and passion, I pioneered two of my own businesses—an innovative Island activities brokerage and a thriving Hawaii real estate license. In a labor of love, I skillfully restored and sold an 8-acre, off-grid property situated in the serene mesic forest above Milolii. A mere nine months later, I ventured onto an adjacent parcel where I labored to adorn it with luscious dragon fruit and white pineapple. Committed to preserving Hawaii’s bountiful, sustainable local produce, I played a pivotal role in creating enticing, ecologically-conscious products that continue to inspire consumers across the islands.
As a catalyst for growth, change, and innovation, my journey thus far has been a thrilling, vivid mosaic of colorful experiences, each one an integral thread in the beautiful tapestry of my enthralling Hawaiian adventure. From the moment I embarked on my ambitious journey, my passion for revitalizing businesses has propelled me down a path rich in growth and achievement, with scents of ocean breeze and the land cheering on every success. In this role, I dived into the world of sales, becoming an agent, a closer, and ultimately an office manager. The textures of success became more palpable as I progressively excelled, exceeding expectations in Lahaina. As well as in the sale room, amidst 30 equally driven activity sales agents on Front st, I soared to the number one spot within my first month. My relentless dedication secured a promotion to activity sales management after just 12 short months, as well as holding the number one position in the sales room for six consecutive months.
My illustrious journey took a fortuitous turn when I profited from the enchanting realm of cryptocurrency and returned to my roots on the Big Island. Now primed to conquer the awe-inspiring power of a volcano, I expertly steered a volcano company through the chaotic eruptions of business operations. Triumphantly, I serviced 168 bookings within eight captivating months, grossing $180,107 and netting an astounding $71,200.
My prowess knew no limits as I effortlessly optimized websites, honed SEO strategies, and crafted highly-engaging marketing campaigns. With the finesse of a seasoned maestro, I orchestrated group and private reservations, presented unforgettable tours, expertly cared for the vehicles, and maintained vigilant accounting practices. Possessing an extraordinary ability to adapt swiftly in high-stakes situations, I maneuvered through challenges like a virtuoso, never letting limited resources or time constraints halt my progress. The echoes of tireless perseverance reverberate through my achievements, demonstrating my propensity to thrive even when the odds may seem insurmountable.
Then as the integral force behind a blossoming coffee shop and tour startup in Honoka’a’s lush Hamakua Coast, I’ve orchestrated expeditions of a striking 30-acre haven, breathing life into an outdoor school nestled amidst verdant food forests and macadamia nut groves. Within this sprawling estate that extends towards Waipio Road, eager minds come to explore the intricacies of food forest cultivation and agricultural innovation. Our tours awaken the senses, from the coarse and nurturing Hawaiian soil underfoot to the symphony of birdsong overhead, each experience imbued with the spirit of the Aloha State.
