How to participate in One Million for Change
One Million for Change is a social enterprise that empowers entrepreneurs who live on Big Island Hawaii to create small businesses that are sustainable, innovative, and beneficial for all.
If you are one of them, you can participate in One Million for Change by:
- Creating your own business: If you have a business idea that is sustainable, innovative, and beneficial for all, you can apply for a grant from One Million for Change and receive 10k, an AI-generated business plan, and presentations coaching. You will then have six months to launch or expand your business on Big Island Hawaii. You will also be required to submit regular reports on your progress and achievements. At the end of the six months, you will have the opportunity to showcase your business to a panel of judges who will evaluate your performance and impact. The best businesses will receive additional funding and support from One Million for Change.
- Supporting other businesses: If you don’t have a business idea or you are not ready to start your own business, you can still support other businesses that are created or supported by One Million for Change. You can do this by becoming a customer, a partner, or an investor of these businesses. You can also do this by providing feedback, suggestions, or referrals to these businesses. You can also do this by spreading the word about these businesses to your friends or family.
- Joining or supporting our community: If you are interested in learning more about One Million for Change or getting involved in other ways, you can join or support our community by visiting our website and clicking on the “Join or Support” button. How to apply for a grant
One Million for Change offers 10k grants to aspiring entrepreneurs who live on Big Island Hawaii and want to start or grow their own businesses there.
If you are one of them, you can apply for a grant by following these simple steps:
- Step 1: Fill out an online application form. You will need to provide some basic information about yourself and your business idea. You will also need to answer some questions about your motivation, goals, and impact. The application form will take about 15 minutes to complete.
- Step 2: Wait for our response. We will review your application and get back to you within two weeks. We will let you know if you are selected for the next stage or if you are rejected. If you are selected, we will invite you to an online interview. If you are rejected, we will give you some feedback and suggestions on how to improve your application.
- Step 3: Attend an online interview. We will schedule an online interview with you at a convenient time. The interview will last about 30 minutes and will be conducted by one of our team members.
